GEO Geography Coursework and Settlement Hierarchy

Geographycoursework is one of the few subjects that can be studied from home and still have a high standard of educational value. The curriculum consists of an introduction to the subject followed by lectures and assignments concerning primary research topics, primary and secondary research topics as well as applied geography. Students will learn about cartography, survey mapping, statistical mapping, cartographical information systems and techniques, physical Geography, environmental science and earth sciences among others. Before starting any semester at GEO, all students must successfully complete a basic GEO geometry coursework preparation and oral examination, before entering into any semester at GEO. Any student unable to pass this exam is not eligible to take the GEO geometry coursework preparation or to sit for the geometry examination. Successfully completing the pre-requisites will ensure that the student is eligible for any semester at GEO. Pre-requisites are normally restricted to passing the IESQ-stakes or equivalent.
